How to create an App Store Account

This can be completed on a Mac or Windows Computer with iTunes installed or on a IOS Device (iPad, iPhone).
 
Using iTunes on a PC or Mac
  1.  Open iTunes
  2. Select the iTunes store in the lefthand column.
  3. Make sure you are not signed in on another account (it will say sign in in the top right corner). If you need to sign out, click on the email address in the top right corner and select sign out from the menu.
  4. Search for "Remote" using the search box in the top right corner of the iTunes window.
  5. Click the "Free" button next to the remote app.
  6. When the itunes login window pops up click "Create Apple ID" at the bottom.
  7. Fill out the information to create an account. When you get the payment information page, select "None" for credit card. If you do have that option quit itunes and start over, and make sure you follow each step of these instructions. You should not have to enter any credit card information to create this account.
  8. Once finished you will have to confirm your email address, follow the instructions in the email to complete the setup.
Using an IOS Device (iPad, iPhone)
  1.  Open the App Store on the device.
  2. On the main screen scroll to the bottom and make sure you are not signed in (it will have a sign in button). If you are touch the email address and select "Sign Out".
  3. Search for the app "Remote"
  4. Touch the "Free" button next to the Remote App, the button will turn green and say "Install". Press it again.
  5. Select "Create New Apple ID" from the pop-up window.
  6. Fill out the information to create an account. When you get the payment information page, select "None" for credit card. If you do have that option quit itunes and start over, and make sure you follow each step of these instructions. You should not have to enter any credit card information to create this account.
  7. Once finished you will have to confirm your email address, follow the instructions in the email to complete the setup.
