    Effective 1/3/22, Keansburg High School and Bolger Middle School will be permitting
    ---ONLY 2 Parents/Guardians per athlete (for both home and visiting teams) for all upcoming home athletic events
    ---NO children or siblings
    When inside Keansburg School District athletic facilities all spectators must abide by the following at all times:
    Spectators must:
    • Not attend if:
    - They do not feel well
    - Have any symptoms of COVID-19
    - Have been in contact within the last two weeks of anyone with COVID-19
    - Have traveled in the past two weeks to a restricted region
    • Wear a face covering at all times.
    • Maintain social distance of 6 feet at all times.
    • Refrain from interacting with any coach and/or student-athlete until competition is completed and those participants have left the competition space.
    • Refrain from any interaction with the officials.
    • Parent/Guardian must wait until they are outside the facility to interact with student-athletes.

  • On October 10, the NCAA Eligibility Center hosted a webinar for high school student-athletes and their families, focusing on navigating initial eligibility during COVID-19. This webinar is informative for all grades 9-12, but particularly

    of importance to the senior class with initial enrollment in an NCAA DI or DII school in Fall 2021 or later. Additionally, the Eligibility Center will be hosting a repeat of this webinar on November 7 at 2 p.m. Eastern. Please encourage students to register!

    The NJSIAA has set forth guidelines for athletic contests for the fall. The main goal is to get to some type of “normalcy” and get student-athletes safely back participating. We ALL have been working hard to bring about many moving pieces to host this athletic season. The following are some of the requirements from the NJSIAA. Please keep in mind that these policies change regularly and we must continue to be ready for the coming changes.
    We appreciate all of your support as we work to stay up to the second with updates and modifications and will continue to work to keep your sons and daughters safe.

    NJSIAA Rule Modifications:
    -No handshakes prior or following the coin toss
    -All pregame and post game hand shaking is prohibited
    -Outdoor facility attendance strictly limited- including both home and away teams and personnel
    -No one is permitted inside the building. Pregame and halftime will be conducted at a specified location in close proximity to the football stadium.
    -Home site will take the temperature of the officials, and the officials are required to complete COVID questionnaire.
    -There will be NO TICKETS sold at the game.
    Each participant will be given a limited number tickets for games to share with their guardians and then other family/friends.
    -Games will be live streamed on YouTube
    ***Face Coverings: The CDC affirmed that face coverings are a critical tool in the fight against COVID-19 that reduced the spread of the disease, particularly when used within communities.
    -Participating student-athletes are required to wear face coverings
    -Student-athletes on the bench or sidelines are required to wear face coverings.
    -Spectators will be required to wear face coverings at all times, covering the mouth and nose.
    -Officials are required to wear face coverings.
    ***Restrooms: Proper protocols regarding access to restrooms must be followed based on the guidelines set by the district.
    -Social distancing and face coverings are required for all staff and students while using restrooms, unless it inhibits the individual's health.
    -Restrooms must be cleaned and sanitized in accordance with CDC and EPA guidelines.
    -Schools must ensure indoor facilities have adequate ventilation, must prepare and maintain sanitizing stations, and must ensure that students wash hands frequently.
    -Face coverings are required for all staff and students while on busses
    -Teams should limit travel to essential players and staff.
    -Student-athletes are prohibited from transporting themselves or others to events
    ***Spectators: The Governor established outdoor gathering guidelines in NJ Executive Order 161. Please be advised these guidelines may change at any time. Please refer to nj.gov website for updates.
    -Outdoor gathering attendance is limited
    -All spectators attending outdoor events must wear face coverings, unless it would inhibit the individual's health.
    -All spectators must follow social distancing guidelines set by the host school district
