    Homework Policy

    Dear Parents/Guardians,

This is the homework policy of my classroom. Please take some time to review this with your child. Thank-You.

                                                                                        Ms. Carrier

    Why Do I Assign Homework?

Homework is assigned to reinforce the concepts and skills, or to help review for a test or a quiz.

    When Will Homework Be Assigned?

Homework WILL be assigned Tuesday thru Thursday. Homework should never take an excessive amount of time to complete. If you find that your child is struggling please send a note in with the assignment so that I can address the issue with your child. PLEASE CHECK YOUR CHILD’S HOMEWORK LOG EVERY NIGHT and initial that you have looked at it. I will use this as a communication between home and school. If for some reason, such as an emergency, your child could not complete a homework assignment, a note must be sent in with them. They will have an extra day to make up the assignment.

How Do I Address Incomplete or Missing Homework?

    1. Homework is due the day after it is assigned, unless I have a note from you explaining why it could not be done, emergencies and such.

    2. If the assignment is not handed in five points will be deducted from it each day until it is handed in. After five days the assignment will be counted as missing.

    3. After 3 missed homework assignments; your child will not be able to participate in Fun Fridays. This time will be used to make up the missed assignments.
