Welcome Letter
Lunch Money:
In order to avoid any confusion with money sent to school it is extremely helpful to us if you put the money in an envelope with their name on it and place it in your child’s folder.
Please write your child’s name, what the money is for (i.e. lunch money), and how much money is in the envelope.
Snack: WE ARE A PEANUT FREE CLASSROOM!!!!
During class, we will have a short snack time everyday. The school does not provide snack and we ask that all parents please send a small snack for their child. Please make sure your child knows which food is for snack time and which is for lunch.
Folders:
We ask that you check your child’s folder everyday and send it back to school everyday. Use your child’s folder to communicate with us. We will use the same folders everyday, but please note that important papers from the school will be sent home on Thursdays. To avoid confusion, we will not be using separate folders for Thursday Folders.
Homework:
Homework will not start until the end of September. I will send home more information explaining our homework policy.
Clothing:
Please send an extra change of clothes to school in a Ziplock bag with your child’s name on it. We also ask that you send your child to school with a sweater or sweatshirt that can be kept in their cubby. Our room can be chilly at times with the air conditioner.
If you plan change the person who is picking up your child, you must send a written note. Please do not rely on your child to tell us this information, because children often become confused and relay messages incorrectly.
